Cute idea! Not sure it’s realistic for travel ball. Maybe could be done 1 game per page instead of 1 game on 2 pages.

All the pages are the same throughout the book, was hoping for more variety.

I bought several softball journals to give as gifts for my students, here are pictures of them with size comparisons and what they look like inside. I liked them all. Jo Keller, Diamond Fastpitch.

Brandon, come on, man. This is supposed to be an e book? This is more like a blog post. It's not a bad story, but to position this as an ebook is misleading. Five minutes of reading hardly qualifies for a book.

I blame myself more than the authors. I didn't do my own due diligence. I saw a book I was interested in for $0.99, I bought it based on the number of high reviews and its #1 best seller status in the genre. Mea culpa. That said, I do blame the sellers for their deceptive tactics in selling this "eBook". It was less of an advertisement and more of a text-based infomercial that I had the joy of paying to read. I did not learn one thing of actual value, nor did I get what I was expecting, which was an actual eBook. Save yourself the money and look elsewhere. This is just a fancy way for the seller to make more money on a book that wouldn't otherwise sell as many copies.

Describes a very specific situation of property and seller motivation, which cannot be duplicated. No educational information about how to systematize the general process of acquiring income property for no cash out of your pocket. It is just an upsell for other stuff they are selling.

This is about the worst book you can get. Worst.Another get rich quick book.Replace "no money down" with "gambling our fixed income retired parent’s money on red"I cannot stand this self-promoter. At the same time I respect his rascality to hook "users" into the fantasy land of passive income.But I must speak out against the book- its garbage. And worst is misleading. The example in the book about the apt. building- so many lucky breaks here this is not a business plan or a strategy but rather a series of very lucky breaks.Let me list:-finds an off market property- his only on he looked at.-sellers are willing to "rent" the entire property to him for "rent" while he collects the income.-parents give him the money- interest free of course. And they still have not got a dime.-that free money only owns 50%- good luck finding that anywhere.-its such a crazy deal that he admits that the title company has never even seen on of these deals in 20 odd yrs.-it took years to stabilize the property.-the author leads you to believe that a couple could sustain themselves and a budget for renos on a $500k apt. building that’s almost empty- and on no salary.This model deal that the author presents is, reckless and insane- one wrong move, legal fumble, or economic swing- the guy is bankrupt, the parents lose 100% of their money and you would be left with the banks coming after you. An investment fund wouldn’t touch a piece of real estate that doesn’t yield for 3 years or do a “covered mortgage”. BTW if you hear of a seller offering you a mortgage like this- unless you are a very keen lawyer, run. These are licenses for the seller to take your equity and you have zero recourse.So if you are willing to work for free for years, risk your marriage and kids, alienating your backers (parents) put up with calls in the middle of the night, collect rent from scumbags and kick them out- by all means knock yourself out and follow the author’s advice.So no budget is mentioned, no going in Caprate, or wacc. Basically anyone with even 1 yr college math or was respectable in high school math can figure out this is only a promote piece for the website at $30 a month.-did I finish it? no.Where I can heap praise is his savvy ability to create a community where he is king, and an acknowledged "expert".Having checked out the site- signed up because I was curious- it is entirely vacant of knowledge- even the "legal" agreements are not worth spit. The posters here have another agenda, I couldn’t figure it out but it probably has something to do with you and your money or your time.For anyone wanting to get into real estate and is stone cold broke- get a job, save some money or get a RE license sell a house or go beg anyone you can find that is in a fund and plead with them to hire you.

This is an ok book. This book does lead to their main book that cost money. If you are looking for an "I got an apartment building and you can too" type motivational book. Read this. But if you are looking for something with step by step detail that will be beneficial in most real life situations...this is not the book to buy and/or read.

It's a quick read on how he got his apartment building. He should've dove deeper into not giving up. Although he got extremely great deal; the author worked out different avenues to pull off this deal. Like most said- this should be a blog post

In the story one thing led to another and most of it is by coincidence. His story show some creativity in desperate situations.I liked the book especially that you finish it in one read.The down side of the book is that it looks like a marketing booklet for other products. However he did it very well.

Having said that, there is nothing new here, nothing that hasn't already been said before, in "How to Win Friends and Influence People," by Dale Carnegie. Carnegie's book is the "Bible" on how to build trust, sell the right way, manage effectively, resolve customer and employee disputes, and succeed in a highly-competitive and often hostile world. In the '80s, while working for a large mid-western company and assigned the task of changing the culture of our large retail organization, I must have read a hundred books on selling, negotiating, problem solving, how to get along with the boss, management, dispute resolution, etc., etc., and the basics were all the same, and available in Carnegie's marvelous book. Having said that, I recommend this book. It's pointed, it's filled with example after example on how to build trust--the cement of long-term client relationships--and it gets at the heart of the matter: to be successful, you must learn how to listen effectively, be transparent in your motives, be flexible and open to change, be dedicated and driven, and most of all, be humble. Humility is the key to self-control. Final note: I know people who read book after book looking for some secret message that will enable them to leap over mountains and achieve great success, career satisfaction, and personal achievement. They read books such as this one, miss the timeless lessons being illustrated, and move on to another book. Stop: what you're seeking is right here. I was referred to this book by a colleague. As a consultant, I need to provide the best possible service to my clients. This book is really basic. It does not provide much advice on how to prioritize and place needed boundaries on client contacts. Good but not great starter book.

From the outset the authors hook the reader by establishing the three basic skills that a trusted advisor must have: (1) earning trust; (2) giving advice effectively; and (3) building relationships. And it gets better as the book progresses. The concept of building trust is brought home in a succinct equation: T = (C + R + I)/S where T is trust, C is credibility, R is reliability, I is intimacy and S is self-orientation.I have found this simple equation to be most useful in gauging the strength of relationships built over the years. It also explains how frustratingly easy it is to lose the trust we've built up. Those who have difficulty maintaining long term solid relationships with friends or clients would do well to check their self-orientation. It is highly likely, if you're honest with yourself, that you are pretty much motivated by your own self-interest and that will come through to clients and friends - regardless of the words you speak or protestations to the contrary.I wish I had come across this book (and the follow-on book by Charles Green, Trust-based Selling) years ago. It would have explained much about the success I had with clients as well as the failures that I suffered. This book will move the successful mentor/coach from the level of conscious incompetent to conscious competent and on to the ultimate goal of unconscious competent.

I have used Gimp for a few years, but I wanted to gain a better understanding of how to use some of the tools to complete tasks that can't be done in Lightroom (such as working with layers). This guide was very helpful to me as someone who is familiar with photo editing, but I think it would also be suitable for a total beginner.The book comes with a free subscription to the video course and sample images to follow along. I have found myself using the online materials more than the book, but it will be good to have as a reference.

My name is Patrick McKeown. I was a chronic asthmatic and constantly wheezed and coughed for over twenty years, until I learned the Buteyko Method. I have been free of symptoms and medication since 1998. In 2002, I travelled to Russia and qualified as a practitioner under the Late Professor Buteyko. Buteyko breathing could benefit so many, if the tactics used to teach it were completely overhauled. This book is mostly a barrage of information on doing it wrong, rather than walking you through the process of retraining with positive reinforcement. Hey, alternative health community: the negativity bias may be a great way to push product, but it brings little positive change. For a more accessible resource on the Buteyko method, try ‘How To Breathe: The Symptoms if You Get it Wrong, and How to Fix It’ by Sally Gething. I was initially put off by the title, but in one brief and well-organized chapter Gething accomplishes what McKeown took half a book to get out in a disorganized way. Great self-promotion from McKeown, I honestly felt after reading this book that I would need to buy all of his products and pool the few relevant pieces of information from each to see improvement. On the other hand, Gething’s results speak for themselves at a fraction of the price.I am in no way affiliated with anyone involved, just trying to share the most helpful resource, imo

The information in this book is mind-blowing. I have embarked on a limited practice of these principles and at my age of 69 years I am experiencing significant benefits.For anyone who has young asthmatic children this is vital information. It is very important to apply these principles and exercises. There can be absolutely no harm in them and if they do work it should be criminal negligence to ignore them.I wish I could get this out to all the "they says" in the world so that this silly sickness can be reduced and perhaps eliminated for ever.

This is a great book for me because it taught me a way to breathe that was different than anything I had been taught or had practiced before. The reduced breathing techniques gave me a sense of relaxation and ease that was great. It actually felt like I was breathing correctly for the first time in a long time. Like breathing actually filled me up with oxygen to optimum levels. The tape on the mouth at night was great. After a day of using the practices I put the tape on at night and the next morning woke up and popped out of bed full of energy and feeling totally refreshed. It was amazing really. I don't recommend putting the tape on without doing the exercises during the day first, because your body wont know what it is doing and it will just be really uncomfortable.Now, the exercises can be quite grueling. Especially to come home after a day work and to expect to put yourself in the sometimes intensely uncomfortable position of exercising while holding your breath, or holding your breath while you nod your head up and down for as long as you can, and having the wherewithal to stick a piece of tape over your mouth before you go to sleep. It can be quite daunting! It is worth it, but it can be a lot. For an asthmatic they might have the drive because they are dealing with there breathing all of the time. Everyone is different, for some people they might have the will power to do it like a piece of cake. Other people might struggle more with it. Especially if you have depression I wouldn't recommend doing these exercises, Patrick says the same. For me it is quite hard to do it regularly. I have seen the benefits, and they are great, But it is still too challenging to do it on a consistent basis. I would probably benefit from a coach or something.I still recommend the book though. So that you can at least get a taste of the benefits this interesting breathing philosophy has to offer. And maybe you'll do better than me and make the exercises a regular part of your lifestyle.

This is an extremely interesting book which outlines the techniques developed by Konstantin Buteyko, a Russian doctor, who uncovered the link between breathing volume and a number of conditions. This book primarily targets those people who suffer from asthma; however,these techniques can be used for other respiratory complaints including COPD, colds, nasal congetion, sleep apnoea, other chronic illnesses as well as the overall health of the body. It is ironic that the greater one's air intake the less oxygen delivered and the calmer and quieter the breath, the more the blood vessels and airways are open. It is interesting that these techniques discussed are very similar to those of some yoga traditions. This is thoroughly discussed in Artour Rakhimov's book "Yoga Benefits are in Breathing Less". It should be noted Artour Rakhimov also authored a book entitled "How to use the Frolov Breathing Device" which adopts the overall theory of Buteyko but is alleged to be a far more effective method of just using the Buteyko Breathing Exercises. However, like so many "how to books", the success of the Buteyko exercises depends on the individual and the overall practice of these techniques.

Book is repetitive, but I think the author is trying to emphasize the points he is trying to make. He addresses the symptoms of Obstructive Sleep Apnea and how to deal with them. My doctor recommended the book to me. Well worth the read.

A very important book for everyone to read - not just those with Asthma or other respiratory illnesses (although it is essential reading for them). Patrick Mckeown has more than done his homework regarding the positive real life effects of incorporating the Buteyko Breathing Method into ones life. I highly recommend this book and any other information you can get your hands on by this author. Thanks Patrick for a job extremely well done.

The simple summary of this book is that penguin is being told that he needs to say "please" when he wants something. We also have the Bears Says Thank You and I give some credit to that book for helping my 16 month old start saying "Thank You" unprompted and in the right context. It helped reinforce what her dad and I say to her and it quickly became her favorite book. This one has not topped her list of favorites yet, but I think that over time it will become a favorite.

I have a lot of trouble getting my 11 month old to sit still so I can read to her, she would rather eat books than listen to/look at them. I thought I would try this one, since she loves penguins. I’m glad I did, because she loves it. There are only a couple words per page and the story is really short even for a kids book so she is able to pay attention to it the entire time. I would definitely recommend this for babies with incredibly short attention spans like mine.

This is a very simple book that is excellent for encouraging your toddler to say "please." There really isn't much of a story-- at first Penguin is demanding things without saying please, then his mom tells him he must say please, then he repeats his requests saying please. Nonetheless, my daughter LOVES this book and is happy to read it many times in one sitting. I have been working on teaching her to sign "please" and after signing it with her throughout several readings, now she knows the sign! I'll definitely be purchasing more books from this series.

While this book hasn't yet gotten my toddler (who has been signing for a while but just started speaking) to actually say or sign please, now she smiles and nods when I ask, instead of becoming infuriated. I don't know what the heck she thought "please" meant, but she would go bananas whenever I'd encourage her to say it. Since she really loves the illustrations (especially when the penguin is upside-down), I'm hoping she'll come around to actually *saying* please pretty soon, but since this has eliminated the mini "please"-based tantrums, I'm calling it a win.Very sturdy book, bright colors, sweet illustrations, small enough to pop in the diaper bag, short enough to read in a minute or two if the kid wants several encores.

Thank you Michael Dahl, for getting my daughter to say please & thanks! We bought this book, along with "Bear Says Thank You," in a hope to teach my 2 year old manners. It worked! She loved the books and had me read them over and over again to her. It's now been 2 years since we purchased, and sometimes we have to remind her, but for the most part she still remembers her "pleases" and "thank yous." And, she still love the books!

Love these books and I'm sure we have almost every one of them by now. These are easy for my daughter to follow along with and learn from. Started reading these to my daughter when she started biting at about a year and she's been picking different books from this series for the past 8 months when it's story time.

my 18-month-old is loving this Hello Genius series, and we have the entire set. This is one of the latest to join us. Since she's learning how to speak, I thought that learning manners would be a good thing to add to her vocabulary, and purchased this book. It helps that she likes penguins -- the bossy little penguin in the beginning of the story is gently chastised by his mommy, and learns to preface requests with "please" rather than just demanding things. Simple story. Good for short toddler attention spans. And after a few reads, she started attempting to say "please" when asking for snacks or stories to be read to her!

Cute book. My daughter (20 months) likes reading this one over and over, but still loves the polar bear one saying thank you better than this one. It's pretty cute and gets the point across.
